Finally done with quilt #12 of the infamous 13 quilt tops waiting to be quilted! This one is a very modern style of quilt that is on the market today. It is made up of a mixture of flowers, butterflies, scissors, geometric designs and wild colors. I call it "Wonderland" because that is the name of the fabric collection designed by MoMo for Moda. Once again, this fabric and quilt design is not for me ... way too wild, but it did turn out quite nicely. It is 71" by 77", a very nice adult lap robe size ... great for cuddling up under on the couch. Here are some photos of it:
Here are some close-ups of a few of the individual blocks:
The pattern I used is called "Funky Windows" by another Etsy Shop Owner, Carlene Westberg. Check out her shop called "CarleneWestberg" (all one word).
And here is the last one which shows the backing:
Pretty wild, huh? Well, you don't have to worry about which side is up, do you? I quilted it with my usual stippling design, but changed my batting to Quilters Dream Cotton Batting. This batting is simply the best ... it's like quilting through butter! It is 100% pure USA natural high grade cotton. Extremely soft and drapeable. Specially needle-punched for strength. No scrim to resist your needle. Environmentally friendly – no chemical resins or binders. STITCHES UP TO 8” APART. No pre-washing necessary. Only 1% shrinkage in a cold wash, air dried. 3% shrinkage in a warm wash, warm dry. I love it!
Well, I'm off to get this one listed in my Etsy shop.
Until later,

Oh, I LOVE this one! I can't wait to show Brenna - I think she'll love it too. I like, like, like the bright and wild! :-)
This is fabulous! It really looks like a "Wonderland". I cannot believe how quickly you put these together and they look so professional.
Thanks Neely ... I thought you might!
Thanks Mina for your lovely compliments! I don't usually put them together very fast. I just get to spend a lot more time on them than most people. This top has been done for several months ... just didn't get quilted and bound until now.
Thanks, Neely! I think Brenna will like it too! Just sort of looks right, doesn't it?
Thank you, Mina! I don't really work any faster than most quilters, I just get to spend more time on them than most since I'm retired and this is my favorite hobby!
